It is again another great day with my mission being accomplished~

should i use the word, SADLY?... hmm, yea, SADLY, noone s able to accompany me this time. =P ha, not that bad larh actually. Had lots of fun exploring alone. At least i won be complained for being slow, or gotta keep saying 'paiseh' when i make my friends following me but doing nothing. =)

Well, lets start moving~

Again, piggy zhiling cant able to wake up early. =P had lunch by 1pm, and it starts raining heavily out there. sobss. Glad that the rain ends by 2 and so i headed to the bus station, and start my syok-sendiri-travelling~ take rapid to kl sentral, following by monorail to Chowkit. It is saturday, public transports are expectedly to be serious PACKED! im very lucky to have a very good spot standing on monorail which allow me to enjoy the opposing KL sceneries~ Have my mp3 on, and it's truly an enjoyable journey until i reach chowkit station an hour later.


Follow the direction given by Qing, i walk down the street following the monorail track. hmm, it's about 15 mins walking distance until i reach Sogo and see lots of fabrics shops. Ah, almost forget to highlight bout this, i have 2 little cups of free indocafe on the way heading to the Jalan TAR....cooling and yummy!!! mmm, i love coffeeeee~ =)


Jalan TAR is truly a heaven for fabrics hunter, with whole street of Fabrics shops! however, it's quite disappointing when i find out that almost all the shops, set MALAYS as the target customers.

huhh. really glad when i finally found what i want from both of the larger-scale shops. Get myself 3 printed fabrics for rm20,which have the similar patterns with different colours from Kamdar. Weee, they allow me to have half a meter! how nice~ wooshhh... Love the greyish green and blue colour soooo muchhh!

Next fabric followed is Jean, with very low price from Nagoya! Half meter is not allowed this time. *sobs* Neway, worth it larh, for only rm12! wheeee, am going to customize a bag for MYSELF!

Am really wonder why they dont allow half a meter to be sold. sigh.... They just wont close one eye and be kind to a poor student... T__T ...after considering for few rounds, going in and out the shop, look,think and ask, over and over again, aiksss, finally i ve decided to buy the 2 pieces of rm12.80 printed fabric with a meter long. ahhhh...... sum up to be rm25!! im really broke this timeeee...... T___T ... neway, i just love the very cutey-cans-printed fabric and the mature-ladylike-flower piece. =) think positively, it's a kind of INVESTMENT! =P

through asking, finally i know the reason for the stupid half-meter-s-not-allowed rule. owhh, that is because, half a meter is HARD TO CUT! .....-.=''' .....boomed...

walking down the street and i found this shop. spent rm6.3 on the some accesories. VERY CHEAP weihh!! =)




Asked for directions, i headed back to capsquare again. it's bout only 10 mins walking distance from jalan tar to capsquare. hahaha... pretty BOH GAM BUAN that day, and i wish to find out whats there in the closing ARTY-PARTY~




Tako is still not around. But well, at least there are more tents being set up today~

wish to save up some money by heading back kl sentral with rapid, so that i dun have to spend another 2.50 for monorail. sigh.... have been asking people for directions and have been rounding the same area for 1 hour.... Ended up, i see no rapid and noone can give me the exact and clear direction...
ish to the max... no choice but i have to walk back fo monorail .On the way heading back to chowkit, i see a monorail station. huh, thanks god, it's way nearer.!
Qing ah, Medan Tuanku station is nearer to Jalan Tar larh!! =P
met 终极天团contestant on monorail... hmm, ntg special larh, they are just like normal people. Approach one of the member of 重靓级when we reach sentral and tell her that their performance last week is good~ =)

Neo called and i headed to asian avenue to pack our dinner.

everydays PERLER DAY!

am having cool and interesting days here! it's the 4th day of relaxedness, yet days din go boringly and very good ones, i cant find any fresh mushrooms growing on my head~ =P

one more class to go, hence, it's not really the start of my semester break. However, it's the starting point where i can really let my hair down and DO WATEVA I WAN!
weeeeeee~

monday has been awful, as how i remembered. it has been such a long time since i stay up thru the whole night for assignment. Finally its time again for assignments to the break of dawn. What a memorable day. Very weird, not that i HAVE TO rush till the last min, but i VE CHOSEN TO BE.... holiday mood kills! Am pretty satisfied with my work, received good comments from lecturer, but nothing from classmates. IShness, emotion started overwhelming and i ve denied my own effort once again. aiks, how to be more confident but not relying completely on the feedbacks?! Am truly grateful towards MS for keeping me company throughout the bad moments. Felt lots better after the long-heart-to-heart-and-cosy conversation. thanks lots! ve decided not to redo, but to refine. i shouldnt have killed my own effort. lastly, yes, i can do better...! =)


tuesday was a day to recharge and regain my energy. wake up by 3pm, headed to school to have lunch with MS and get some documents for my dad. The days then continued with the television turned on for the entire night and my hand dun stop customizing and sewing for another bag. One more night for handicrafts and one more handbag being produced within 8 hours. am happy~ =) *will post up the photos soon~*


wednesday was a really interesting day! here goes the supermanchimpanzeehonwai being the organiser again, and it was the day to have lotsa fun at sunway lagoon. most of the kongkams are not available and hence there are only hw, ryan, elaine, ciel and i turned up in the end. Were not expecting much since the craziest ml and luly were nt around. Well, it's clear that IM WRONG! it was a great day instead! hmm, so sadly that ciels not joining us for wet activities and mark was being buried again under his emotion. ended up, 4 of us left and we are so fairly paired into 2 groups for most of the games. had lotsa fun though. feel so sorry that i weared jeans and so everyone din get to try out some games since im being banned from that. T__T elainne got back earlier and we headed to Summer to have buffet steamboat. goshh...

am not goin to spend my 20 bucks for nothing. Finally, everyone got too full and started to complain about getting fat.. -.=''' sobs, overspent today, am goin to tighten my belt from the second that i give away my 2 red notes. anyway, it was a great day indeed.


it's thursday and WAS planned to go Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman for fabrics today. ishness, I got toooo tired and cant able to wake up for the plan. huhhh.... it's okay, i still have plenty of time~Head to school for digital painting workshop. Aiks, am late and i never try to paint using a wacom, so i can say that i ve learned NOTHING throughout the 2-hour-long workshop. Ve decided to go Capsquare tomorrow for kl design week and i have been searching through the network for transports and directions. Truly grateful towards Vivien, my dearest tutor for providing me with very clear direction to the spot. So nice of her, even draw me a very neat and nice map using illustrator. *salute!* =) Waiting for reply from cs, so i headed to the lib. Read through a very very nice book about DRAWING WITH CONFIDENT and made notes bout few techniques. huh, ve learnt alot within that 2 hours. am so pleased with myself for completing the book~ cs must be bz, so i decided not to wait but to go home. Same routine~ PERLER NIGHT, with tv on for some noise. oh my god.. i love my darling so much!!


it's april now, but why im still having bad luck?!
ish.... one of the fluorescent tube in my room blew without reason. Ve expected the annoying attitude and hurtful words from the evil woman. Yet i got no choice but to tell her bout that. Glad that i dun have to tell her directly but to transfer the msg through her daughter. to my surprise, her daughter was nice. Very stupid of me, for turning off every audios, and eavesdrop those hurtful sentences. ended up, my mood was being affected damn seriously. aiks... it's just a cheap fluorescent tube....

am not going back to pg that early since not much i can do there. I cant really bring back all my stuffs home and im really going to have mushrooms grown on my head and spiderwebs wrap around me. its going to be a long holiday and so much i want to do!

goshhh, it' really a long and OVERWRITTEN post. hmm, see if i can include some photos soon. Well, i really doubt if anyone reach here. MORNING guys~

east meet west~

wee~ here it goes, my very first handmade silkscreen-ed handbag. ^^v

this is the final project for visual communication, a silkscreen product. With the title of EAST MEET WEST, designs are done based on traditional costumes. Besides, im being inspired by the art movement of POP ART. By arranging fashion silhouette with the same pose together and the contrast colors for every space, i am trying to adopt the characteristics of pop art into my piece of design. The title is portrayed by arranging east elements and wests facing each other which coincidentally hits the title where east "meeting" west.
Different designs are made on either sides of the bag. On the front, linen is used to create more eastern feel, while jean is used for the back with designs portraying more western feel.







hmm, producing a silkscreen is definitely not an easy task! We really have to make sure that every steps are carefully followed, from the beginning where we have to apply the suitable THICKNESS of emulsion, wait it to dry out THOROUGHLY, then expose it above light box with the ACCURATE TIMING, finally wash it thoroughly, leaving a negative stencil of image. pheww.... thanks god that i only fail twice before i got it right~


rubber paint is then being applied. Walao, for my piece of design, with lots of colours and details which spread around, the job is truly mafan! it's time consuming where i have to repeat the steps for so many times once i change a colour for EVERY positions! yea, the steps where i have to firstly cover those unwanted spaces, then swap the rubber paint through, go and wash, wait it dry, then cover again, swap again, wash again..... huh... ve spent for bout 10 hours to get them done....

pieces of fabrics are then being positioned correctly and sewn up.

gonna highlight bout this... the handle is a great invention, but it's the hardest part afterall~ oh, and i ve found out a very useful material! thats called the FISHING ROD! tough, strong, and it's hard enough! =)
