EARTH HOUR. huh, what an amazing event~
i ve been looking forward to this for quite some times, since this is the 1st earth hour in msia.
ISHNESS, hampir semua orang dah balik kampung dah.... -.=''' the original plan [actually we dun have much plans =P] doesnt work out, ended up, im still being trapped in sunway. *sobs...*

yuhooo, finally im done with my figure final. ONE MORE TO GOOO!! =)
it's truly tired working throughout days and night, huhh.... finally i can let my hair down for few hours. Taken nap till 8pm, so glad that i received a sms from Neo, asking me to have a walk at sunway pyramid during the earth hour. huhhh.... a sudden feel of relief, knowing that im not alone....

dad called, saying that they are having candle party at the garage.
T___T truly hope that im with them right now....

all right, the whole house is in dark now. Kind of shocking to know that the @#*(*&^ landlady do her parts in switching off the lights too.... i can only say, WOW... o.O


slap self for my own laziness, i din bring out my camera... aiks, but my hp cam is still able to capture the darkness, just that with poor quality. ah, dun bother lah, the day has been messed up completely...
sunway pyramid is in dark and almost everyone holding candles, some with glowing in dark stuffs. heartwarming enough! but...hmm, honestly, im hoping for darker environment... just like other countries, with all the street lights, EVERY LIGHTS off! kind of impossible i know. sigh, this is malaysia.

perler bead are safely made using LDPE, a food-grade plastic, with no harmful chemicals.
we are supposed to arrange designs that we want on the PEGBOARD. since it was out of stock, T__T i use maskin tape instead, just to lock the position. Very easy, just put a baking paper on top [to prevent the melting plastics stick on the iron] and iron both surfaces of the beads till they melt and every beads bind together.
TADAA, here goes my first design~

when darkness falls

it was 1am and i was doing my sketches at circle together with Qing and Edmond.
Surprisingly, i received a msg, following by a kinda-emergency call from my housemate.

Rushing home,
was informed bout the electrical breakdown.
gosh.....

Qing and edmond offered to walk me home, but ive rejected them using my paisehness. haha... thanks lots neway.

Ahhh, forget bout my poor handphone cam quality. Not the hp problem but seriously, it's COMPLETELY DARK down here! Was caring my laptop along, therefore i chosed to head home through Caltex. Even caltex was in dark.

huh.... i can feel the sudden relief, realizing that my home is that near with the guidance of few security guards.

The housing area was even darker than how i observed from the overcrossing...
huh, and it was quiet.....hmm...scary enough.

knocked my housemates door, and she was on a call.
Head back to my room, trying to search for the torch light, with a sudden flashback to the day when i was packing for Sunway.

People wont really appreciate until the day they ve lost something. A little thing, may make a huge different when it comes at the right moment. Only i realise, how silly i was, for keep on complaining bout my mom being so paranoid when she was actually soooo caring and sooo concern about me. Even a torch light being made into consideration.
T__T...thanks mom....

Am truly grateful towards her, for keep reminding me to put those important stuffs [which for me,WAS not important at all =P] at some noticeable areas. I took no time to grab the torch light and head back to Neo's room.

What the helllll.... DAMN HOT WEIIIII!!!....

Neo called the tenaga nasional and well, we will have to stay under this super hot condition for bout 2 to 4 hours.... T__T
ish to the max. we cant do anything at all!....
lying on the bed and we start chatting. The enviroment turns bit cosy as soon as we were concentrating in the conversation. Not that bad actually. We talked alot and we shared alot. Time flies, 2 hours passed and it was 3am.

Were feeling sleepy so we agreed to try our best to sleep. She was afraid of the dark, so i left my torch light with her. Hehe, am glad that my room was still damn bright with some light from pyramid. ahhh....i was still feeling uneasy to sleep. ok lo, turn on my laptop, 1st thing i checked was the battery level. 1hour 50 min left...! HA, enuf for a movie~

everything finally turned normal by 4am ,the movie ended by 5.
and so,
this story ended by 530~

hmm, truly thanks Neo for keeping me company throughout the suffering night. I cant imagine how thing goes if i was completely alone....
duh... it was a bloody memorable experience...

what makes the week

This is indeed a busy week, with 2 finals that come together, and with the sickening uneasiness.
Hohohoo.... finally im fully recovered! yea, ZHILING IS BACK!! ^^v~
hmm, am going to eat on timeeeee.... =P

so, heres some photos of the week~
Glad that this is not a hectic week, i mean, hectic in the way of having lessons and assignments together. hmm, i have only 2 classes this week. So, i manage to take my sweet time and complete all my finals. Definitely not rush works~ =)

after sharing bout visual com final, heres digital design final. We ve got to produce a softcopy of magazine by executing the similar layouts using ADOBE INDESIGN. Im the group leader in this assignments and i got amazing members! =) yea, truly amazing that everyone is responsible enough to complete all their parts due to every weekly progress. thanks so much, guys!

east meet west~

wee~ here it goes, my very first handmade silkscreen-ed handbag. ^^v

this is the final project for visual communication, a silkscreen product. With the title of EAST MEET WEST, designs are done based on traditional costumes. Besides, im being inspired by the art movement of POP ART. By arranging fashion silhouette with the same pose together and the contrast colors for every space, i am trying to adopt the characteristics of pop art into my piece of design. The title is portrayed by arranging east elements and wests facing each other which coincidentally hits the title where east "meeting" west.
Different designs are made on either sides of the bag. On the front, linen is used to create more eastern feel, while jean is used for the back with designs portraying more western feel.







hmm, producing a silkscreen is definitely not an easy task! We really have to make sure that every steps are carefully followed, from the beginning where we have to apply the suitable THICKNESS of emulsion, wait it to dry out THOROUGHLY, then expose it above light box with the ACCURATE TIMING, finally wash it thoroughly, leaving a negative stencil of image. pheww.... thanks god that i only fail twice before i got it right~


rubber paint is then being applied. Walao, for my piece of design, with lots of colours and details which spread around, the job is truly mafan! it's time consuming where i have to repeat the steps for so many times once i change a colour for EVERY positions! yea, the steps where i have to firstly cover those unwanted spaces, then swap the rubber paint through, go and wash, wait it dry, then cover again, swap again, wash again..... huh... ve spent for bout 10 hours to get them done....

pieces of fabrics are then being positioned correctly and sewn up.

gonna highlight bout this... the handle is a great invention, but it's the hardest part afterall~ oh, and i ve found out a very useful material! thats called the FISHING ROD! tough, strong, and it's hard enough! =)

the sense of accomplishment is unbeatable! T__T
